Total Specific Solutions (“TSS”) has acquired STI, a Spanish VMS software provider offering a dedicated solution for financial enterprises in the automotive industry. STI is the 11th software company to join TSS Spain and the first in the country to focus on this specific domain.
STI provides financial enterprises with a software solution for automated registration of the Reservation of Title Clause (“RTC”) for financed vehicles in the Public Registry. Spain requires a legal agreement between the financier and the buyer of a vehicle. In such an agreement the financier retains the legal guarantee until the registration has been approved in the Public Registry for Movable Goods (“PRMG”). STI’s software facilitates this process for large financial institutions.

It is a true VMS company, as its solution fulfills a regulatory requirement for its clients, the financial institutions that provide loans for vehicle ownership. This registration prevents a private citizen from selling a car still financed through a loan. STI’s software also helps both clients and end users cancel ownership once the loan has been reimbursed. This is our first Spanish company to target this specific niche of financing in the automotive sector. STI proporciona a las empresas financieras una solución de software para la inscripción automatizada de la Cláusula de Reserva de Dominio de los vehículos financiados en el Registro Público. España requiere un acuerdo legal entre el financiador y el comprador de un vehículo, y el financiador retiene la Garantía legal hasta que el levantamiento haya sido aprobado en el Registro de Bienes Muebles («RBM»).
